About South View Glamping
We purchased the cottage at the end of 2021 and moved into a caravan to begin renovations for our family. While we worked hard to maintain the cottage’s original charm—built around 1880—we added a large, modern extension to the rear, creating a perfect blend of old and new. With the help of a builder and our family, we completed the renovations in just over 12 months. While the inside wasn’t perfect, it was a huge improvement over living in the caravan with two young kids!
Our next adventure was setting up a small glamping site on our acre field. In July 2024, we opened The Hut and The Dome for guests to enjoy, and this year, we’re on track to add a Bell tent unit to our offerings. It’s been an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to share this peaceful retreat with even more guests.
