We purchased the cottage at South View at the end of 2021 and began renovating it while living onsite in a caravan with our young family. The original cottage, built around 1880, was carefully restored to retain its character, while a modern extension was added to create a practical and welcoming home.
With the support of local builders and family, we completed the renovation in just over 12 months. What began as a challenging but rewarding project soon evolved into something more.
After completing the cottage renovation, we turned our attention to the surrounding acre of land. In July 2024, we welcomed our first guests to The Hut and The Dome, transforming part of our field into a small, carefully managed glamping site.
Our aim was simple — to create a peaceful, well-maintained space where guests could enjoy comfort, privacy, and the surrounding countryside without the crowds of larger sites.
We continue to grow thoughtfully, with plans to introduce an additional Bell Tent in the near future.
